Nemrod wurde 1935 als Hersteller für Spielzeug und Rollschuhe in Gerona bei Barcelona gegründet. 1941 kamen die Gebrüder Vilarubbis dazu, das Sortiment wurdea auf Masken, Schnorchel  und Harpunen, später auch Flossen erweitert. 1945 wird das Markenzeichen Nemrod angemeldet, Atemregler und Tauchgeräte kamen mit dazu. 1966 kam die Firma Metzeler zu 50%, der Rest wurde später ganz übernommen – übrigends die gleiche Firma, die auch bei Barakuda beteiligt war. Man wundere sich daher nicht dass das eine oder andere frühre Barakuda-Modell sehr wie ein Nemrod aussieht.

1945 wurde der Markenname "Nemrod" geschützt und los ging es mit Unterwasserprodukten. Ab 1949 verkaufte Nemrod in den USA ihre Regler und bekamen mit Cousteau mächtig Ärger wegen des Patents – diesen Streit hat er übrigends verloren…. Ab 1959/60 fertigte die Seamless Rubber Co., Newhaven in Lizenz die Nemrod Regler ("by Seamless"). Zwischen 1966 und 81 erhöhte Metzeler ständig ihren Anteil von 50% auf 100%. In den späten 80er verlagerte man die Produktion in die USA wo noch bis Ende der 90er Jahre (97?) die Zweischlauchautomaten gebaut wurden (als letzter Hersteller). Natürlich baute Nemrod auch nomale zweistufige Regler, teilweise mit sehr futuristischem Design.

In 1941 the brothers Vilarubbis joined and enlarged the production with masks, snorkels and underwaterguns, later fins. 1945 was the year of the inscription of the brand Nemrod - Regs and Diving rigs were now produced. The germany company Metzeler was one of the shareholders and got the majority later. That is the same company that was involved in the german distributor Barakuda. Don´t think about that thay had regs that remained to early barakuda regs…

Since 1949 they sold in the US their regs and got troubles with cousteau because of the patent – this battle was lost by him…. Since 1959/60 the Seamless Rubber Co., Newhaven produced in licence ("by Seamless"). Metzeler increased their shared till 1981 from 50% to 100%. In the late 80s they moved the production to the US where the last doublehoses were sold at the End of the 90s. Nemrod also built singlehose regs, some really unique looking parts…
